Mr. Coffey 7th Science 9-22-14 Print Monday
Title Dotting Experiment
Objectives/Targets The students will complete a scientific investigation on how may dots they can make in a given amount of time and construct a data table and a graph.
I can statements
I can construct a data table and a graph as a result of a scientific investigation.
I can plot the data points.
Materials Paper. Rulers
Procedures The students will see how many dots they can make in 1,2,3,5,10 and 15 seconds. They will count their dots and construct a data table and a graph.
Tuesday
Title Dotting Experiment
Objectives/Targets
The students will complete a scientific investigation on how may dots they can make in a given amount of time and plot points on a graph, draw a best fit line and compute slope of a line.
I can statements
I can draw a best fit line as a result of my previous graphing activities.
I can use a formula to figure out the slope of a line.
I can analyze data and formulate three higher level conclusions as a result of my scientific investigation.
Materials Paper, Rulers and calculators
Procedures The students will draw a best fit line and figure out slope of a line. They will also have to generate three good conclusions.
Wednesday
Title The Sun-Earth-Moon
Objectives/Targets The students will read chapter 19 in their green glencoe textbooks and answer questions at the end of the chapter,
I can statements
I can read for comprehension pages 600-630 and answer the related questions on pages 629-630.
